DESCRIPTION:This 90-minute panel features some of Brooklyn's most success
 ful filmmakers in discussion about the ups and downs of independent film
 making today. Topics include film funding\, marketing\, the changing wor
 ld of technology and content distribution\, as well as the Brooklyn film
 making community and its resources. \n\nThe panelist are  Half Nelson's 
 Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden\, whose long-awaited new film Sugar premiered 
 at Sundance recently\, Oscar nominated director Tia Lessin\, Cruz Angele
 s (Don't Let me Down)\, and Rahmin Bahrani (Man Push Cart\, Goodbye Solo
 ) . The panel is moderated by Mark Rosenberg\, founder and director of B
 rooklyn's own Rooftop Films. Scene: Brooklyn award-winners will be annou
 nced\, with prizes including a cash award\, Final Draft scriptwriting so
 ftware\, and travel on JetBlue Airways. Wrapping it all up will be a rec
 eption sponsored by Rice Restaurant to honor participating filmmakers. \
